My Platform
Dignity in Education: Sustainable Hygiene Access and Sexual Assault Prevention
My platform, Dignity in Education, focuses on educating my community about the environmental impact of menstrual waste and expanding access to sustainable menstrual care to women living in poverty. I work with Days for Girls, a global nonprofit that provides sustainable menstrual health solutions to girls who would otherwise miss school due to lack of access to products. Disposable menstrual products contribute significantly to environmental waste. Sustainable alternatives not only protect the planet but also ensure that girls can remain in school with dignity and confidence. Environmental sustainability and educational access are deeply linked.
During my reign, I plan to expand the reach of these initiatives by supporting sustainability programs, promoting environmental education, and helping Days for Girls chapters grow so that no student’s education is disrupted by resource-based challenges. My background, including nonprofit leadership, sustainability advocacy, global development work, and educational outreach, has uniquely prepared me to advance this mission.
Dignity in education should not be negotiable. Protecting our environment and ensuring equitable access to sustainable menstrual care are essential to keeping girls in school and empowered.
I am grateful to pageantry for giving me this platform, but the truth is, everyone has a platform. Each of us has the ability to influence our communities, make conscious choices, and help create a more sustainable and equitable world.
